Flashing Safaricom Modem To Use With Other Network Sim Cards-Huawei E303

Huawei has launched E303 modem in various countries, some are directly unlockable using the unbranded Huawei mobile partner.

Huawei Modems comes with two versions. Customized firmware version which is specific to a certain carrier, and Uncustomized firmware version.
Uncustomized firmware can be unlocked directly and easily using unlock-code and Unlock tool or software.
The customized version cannot be unlocked the normal way.

To Unlock the customized firmware version, you have to first flash the modem with uncustomized firmware.

Flashing Huawei E303 Customized Firmware

1. Download these softwares/firmware from the links provided t the end of this tutorial.

2. Run Universal Master Code software

3. Select the Huawei Tab and generate flash code.

4. Run the downloaded firmware file of Huawei E303 Modem.

5. The password is the code you generated earlier.

6. Wait for it to finish the flash process.

7. Close all the running programs

8. Run Cardlock_Unlock software/tool

9. Put the 8 digit Unlockcode and click ok.

10. You will get “Unlock success” message on your screen.
