How to Fix ” Error Please Plug out Charger ” | Tecno/Infinix

The ” Error Please Plug out Charger ” is a very common hardware problem on Tecno and Infinix phones, which might be common on other devices as well that have the UMS9230 processor and a UMP510G power IC.

Cause of the malfunction
Weak connection between the sense-p and sense-n resistors and the 10-ohm resistor, which is, of course, connected to the GND battery line, resulting in a resistance of 00000 on all components.

The function of these lines is to act as sensors from the power IC for the battery’s state and its specific temperature. Therefore, a weak connection or a break leads to the device not detecting the battery

As shown in the image below, the green is the ohm resistor, the red is the resistor on the sense-n line, and the blue is the resistor on the sense-p line.

SOLUTION
The solution to the malfunction is to lift the 10-ohm resistor and strengthen the lines

UNDERSIDE IMAGE

As shown in the image, it is preferable to strengthen the lines from the resistor terminals.

FINAL RESULT

The solution has been tested on Smart 8 / Spark Go 2024 / Hot 40i.
